Handling precautions:
• Female patients should not cleanse the labial area prior to providing specimens.
• DO NOT collect specimen from patients who are menstruating.
• Female and male patients should not have urinated for at least one hour prior to sampling.
• Use care to avoid splashing of contents.

Unacceptable Conditions
Urine specimens where the liquid level in the urine transport tube does not fall between the two black indicator lines will not be tested.
Additional Information
Testing is performed using Roche Cobas nucleic acid amplification assays. This test is approved for testing in endocervical, vaginal, male and female urine specimens. Additional testing by culture may be recommended in medico-legal or non-validated specimens.
