Must be a full draw.
If a CBC is also ordered, collect the CBC last.
If drawing from a catheter, you must draw at least 5.0 mL of waste prior to drawing the Plavix specimen.

Hemolysis, clotted specimens, refrigerated or frozen specimens, specimens over 4 hours old.
Additional Information
Can also be used to verify if patient is therapeutic for Effient and Brilinta.
Patients with platelet values less than 119k or more than 502k and Hematocrit values less than 33% or greater than 52% can interfere with testing and valid results may not be obtained.
The P2Y12 Platelet Function assay is not intended for use with inherited platelet disorders such as von Willebrand Factor deficiency, Glanzmann Thrombasthenia and Bernard-Soulier Syndrome.
