CRITICAL FROZEN. PROTECT FROM LIGHT.
Centrifuge, separate as soon as possible (within 2 hours) and send 2.0 mL plasma in an amber screw-capped plastic tube.
If amber tubes are unavailable, cover standard transport tube completely, top and bottom, with aluminum foil and place extra label on outside.
Transport specimen in amber bag.
Specimen will be rejected if it is not wrapped in foil and exposed to light.
