Collection Requirements
Collect stone, fragments or filtered material and place in a clean, dry, sterile screw-capped plastic container. Stones must be of kidney origin (kidney, ureter, bladder). Please provide source on container (if known). If multiple stones need testing, each stone must be placed in a separate container. An order must be sent for each stone. Please call lab for handling of stones of non-renal origin (e.g. gallbladder).

Unacceptable Conditions
Samples should be free of tissue, liquids, and non-stone debris. Samples wrapped in or attached to tape may prevent analysis. Do not send sample with a collection device (filter, syringe etc). Samples in preservative are not acceptable.
