Unacceptable Conditions
Formed Stools will not be tested.
Stool that contains Barium sulfate and/or Benzalkonium chloide may cause testing interference and produce invalid or erroneous results.
Additional Information
Only unpreserved stool (raw) will be tested. Proper sample collection, storage, and transport are essential for correct results.
The Xpert MVP test utilizes real-time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reactions (RT-PCR) to detect specific viral gene sequenes associated with Norovirus genogroup I and genogroup II.
