Methodology

g-glutamyl transferase catalyzes the transfer of the glutamyl moiety from g-glutamyl-3-carboxy-4-nitranilide (GCNA) to glycylglycine thereby releasing 5-amino-2-nitrobenzoate which absorbs at 405?nm. This change is proportional to the g-glutamyl transferase activity and is measured using a bichromatic (405, 600 nm) rate technique. Siemens Dimension Vista.
